Does anyone know what the law is in PA, as far as what age a child can be to refuse medical treatments? I know that with my son's social skills groups, he has to sign himself in at the age of 14, but can he refuse treatment? He is very resistant to therapies right now. I don't know if there is anything that I can do legally, as far as some sort of guardianship before he reachesthis age.He is 12 now, buthe is actually only half his age with social, coping, and communication skills. I know it may definitely be important to look into this before the age of 18, as I cannot see my son managing his own finances or handling a lot of other things on his own at that age.

I think it's 14. You can get guardianship... my mom has mine.
